New to Model 204? Or been away from it for a while and just coming back? Have we got a class for you!

Due to the enormous success of this course at the last symposium, CCA is offering a free, one-day, pre-Insight Model 204 enhanced refresher class entitled "Brushing Up on Model 204". The objective of this course is to provide an introduction to Model 204's system and file architecture, User Language, and V6R1 features. It is ideal for programmers, system managers, and database administrators who are relatively new to Model 204, or require a fast-paced refresher of the fundamental concepts and facilities. Topics include overviews of:

The Model 204 system environment, system recovery, enqueueing, security and the role of the System Manager.
File architecture, including the internal table structures that comprise a file, the page concept, file recovery/reorganization, and the role of the File Manager.
User Language, including the environment, opening/closing files, Find statement, record loops, screen processing and the role of the programmer.

Additionally, V6R1 features will be highlighted throughout the course, with references to Symposium sessions that elaborate on each feature.
