The Jim Damon V5R1 Performance Report
Jim Damon, Senior Systems Engineer
Computer Corporation of America
Model 204, V5R1 has been commercially available since March 2002. It is a major release with many new features that will benefit all customers. In addition to these features, performance continues to improve with no changes required to parameters, files or UL applications. Jim will present results from the TPCB Benchmark which show how these performance improvements translate into reduced CPU consumption and higher transaction throughput across the last five releases of Model 204. In addition, Jim will highlight the performance options of V5R1, which can be enabled through new parameter settings in CCAIN to further maximize Model 204 efficiency and reduce operating costs.
