204 Version 4 Release 2.0
Problem
Description:
When a
Model 204 file that resides on a READ ONLY device is opened
an erroneous future date violation will be reported with the
YEAR portion of the DATE OF FILE corrupted as follows: M204.2473:
FILE filename WAS LAST UPDATED IN THE FUTURE AND HAS FAILED
THE FUTURE DATE CHECK; CURRENT DATE: mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss DATE
OF FILE: mm/dd/4799 hh:mm:ss
Impact:
You
will be unable to open the file until the defect has been
corrected. However, as stated above the error message that
is reported is erroneous and the file is in no way corrupted
or carrying incorrect time/date stamps.
Resolution:
This
fix is now commercially released as 4.2.0 Early Warning 101.
It is available in the Secure Maintenance Information area
in folder EW420/ but will not appear on AUTOFIX until EW3016.

Problem
Description:
AUDIT204 output may be incorrectly formatted or contain the
wrong date and time range when using Y2K report format options
such as:
YEARFORM
4
or
CYYDDDHHMMSS
date format as input with the TIME option
Impact:
This is a report-formatting problem only. The journal being
used as input to AUDIT204 is in no way affected.
Resolution:
These fixes are now commercially released and available in
the Secure Maintenance Information area in folder EW420/ or
on AUTOFIX as of EW3013 as:

Problem
Description:
If a DUMP is taken of a Model 204 file on February 29, 2000
a subsequent RESTORE produces the following message: M204.0500:
FILE ffff: RESTORING FROM DUMP OF 00.060 MAR 01 hh.mm.ss The
message should read: M204.0500: FILE ffff: RESTORING FROM
DUMP OF 00.060 FEB 29 hh.mm.ss

Impact:
This
occurs only for dumps taken on 29th February 2000, and
is only a reporting error. There is no affect on the RESTORE
operation or the integrity of the backup or of the file.

Problem
Description:
The
Model 204 DUMP command may create incomplete dump versions
when created in the year 2000 or later. This defect does
not exist in V4R1.1.
Impact:
The
DUMPed version of the file is corrupt and any file restored
from that backup will also be corrupt.
Symptom:
The
following errors may be reported when trying to RESTORE
a file that was DUMPed in year 2000 or on subsequent use
of the file RESTOREd from the corrupt DUMP. M204.0111:
EOF OR I/O ERROR ON INPUT TO RESTORE and/or M204.0022:
BUG..DKBM WRONG PAGE READ Error M204.0022 may occur alone
or with the M204.0111.
Resolution:
This
fix is now commercially released as 4.1.0 Early Warning
56. It is available in the Secure Maintenance Information
area in folder EW410/ or on AUTOFIX as of EW3011.
