Maintenance
Keeping
your maintenance up-to-date using Autofix will keep your system
running with fewer interruptions. Have you ever encountered
a software problem only to find out that it was already fixed
but the fix was not applied to your system? Applying maintenance
saves you and your organization from lost time by preventing
errors from occurring.

Software
Maintenance is delivered to you in the following two forms:
- New
releases of the software, includes both new features and
software maintenance. The maintenance is "pre-applied"
to the source code, thus, there is no work for you to do
to apply it.
- Autofix
maintenance updates, an automated system to assist you in
applying periodic maintenance between releases.
When
a new release becomes available, a letter will be sent to
your site announcing the availability of the release. When
your site is ready to upgrade, the software will be shipped
to you on request. The announcement letter will include a
brief form to speed up the processing of your request.
Autofix
Autofix
is CCA,s early warning maintenance system, providing an easy
method for applying maintenance to CCA products. The Autofix
system is distributed on tape or cartridge. This system is
a full screen 3270 application which enables the user to perform
the following functions:

Display
early warnings based on selection criteria. |

Build
job stream input (for user's operating system) to test,
backout (MVS and VM only), or apply selected MODEL 204
early warnings. |

Apply
selected MODEL 204 application software product and Dictionary
early warnings or route fixes to a user specified procedure
file for review before applying them. |
 |
Display
early warnings applied to Dictionary, Workshop, XREF,
Access, and Target, when those early warnings were applied
via Autofix. |
 |
Identify
early warnings that have prerequisite early warnings. |
 |
Build
customized flat files of early warnings (for user's operating
system) to be used as a backup. |
Autofix
supports at minimum the latest release of each supported product
and for many products the maintenance for two releases will
be on the Autofix tape.
You
will find Autofix to include maintenance for the following

An
updated Autofix tape is available by request only. The Autofix
tape may be requested by returning your latest tape to the
CCA Customer Service Center, or by requesting this online.
